Spring Vacay...Part 1

Last week Jeremy went to Kentucky for a conference and Asher and I went to Grandmommie's house in the country. OH...and I had Chewy and Foster with me. This was our first long road trip/vacation with Asher. He did really well for the most part, but vacations will never again be the same. For one thing packing for a 4 month old is awful!! I am not a good decision maker so having to decide what goes and what stays was difficult. Luckily, Ashley packed most of his things for me. Also, we had to remember what we brought to Burnet we had to bring back home. So after getting everything packed and loaded we took off on Sunday afternoon. The drive was good and pretty with all of the wildflower fields along 290...

The week at Grandmommy and PawPaw's house was fun. We went shopping for the Bahamas and helped my mom pick out the details of their pool. We played in the bluebonnets and only lost Chewy once until Jeremy came. (Everytime we have gone to my mom's house Chewy always gets loose, but somehow someone always seems to get him)

in the bluebonnets...

my mom wouldn't feed him unless he tried to hold his bottle

After Jeremy was done with his conference he came to Burnet and we spent some time in Fredericksburg... We all had a good time. It is nice to get away and spend time with family, but there is no place like home!!!

Growing Pains

I am having growing pains...figurative growing pains. I think at 27 I am done growing, but it hurts me to see my little boy growing up. I mean he is only 4 months old, but he is eating fruit, he gets cereal in his bottle and he weighs 17 pounds. (he was never small to start with) I have been looking at pictures we have of him when he was born and I don't remember that baby. The first four months of his life have already gone by too quickly. He is no longer a newborn...

Newborn...skinny legs and that onesie was actually big

4 months...

The other day I came up with this great idea...for christmas each year I will create for him a book of that particular year of his life using pictures and captions (snapfish book). I was telling Jeremy about my idea and I mentioned that he can take them when he gets married...and I started to get a little choked. The idea of my little boy getting married...OH MY!!!! Jeremy of course laughed at me and said we have plenty of time, but I disagree. I never thought I would be like this...so sentimental about four months or the months to come. I now understand the importance of recording things that happen and pictures. I cherish the pictures we have of Asher and one day he will cherish the pictures of his children. OH NO...i am talking about grandchildren...i must stop and get back to my 4 month old baby!!!!
